Tradition states that you’re wise to wait a few days after an eclipse before making a big decision or taking action. This is because an eclipse often brings what’s hidden to light. Meditate on the eclipse, be still, listen to your inner guidance."
And you shrug. Because it’s like having been born with blue eyes or red hair: that’s the way it’s always been for you, so you’re pretty much used to it, much the way one gets used to a throbbing arthritic joint. A hypothetically awful aspect is your cross to bear, as Sister Rita used to say. "
True dat. I certainly have it. And it's like, what do you do? Things that come easily to others are never, ever gonna come to me. I have to go hungry my whole life, but it's not fixable. You just...live without what you want.
And despite the unease they inspire, neither are eclipses. Some are part of a larger and more daunting planetary picture with global implications. Personally, however, we tend to experience eclipses most strongly when they form close aspects (especially conjunctions, squares, and oppositions) to planets in our birth chart. Each time an eclipse aspects one of the planetary crosses that you bear, a narrative of change emerges – one that is repeated over and over throughout your lifetime.
Unless an eclipse triggers these high-tension natal aspects, or falls very close to the cusps of the first, fourth, seventh, or tenth houses, you are likely to experience its influence as relatively subtle, like the flutter of a leaf in a chilling breeze. But let one of your more sensitive aspects get triggered, and it’s the difference between a doctor checking your reflexes during an exam and hammering an arthritic knee.
Eeeeek. This is a good read for all of them, I'm just gonna highlight what's coming for me.
Eclipses aspecting Venus: If only each of us were endowed with flawless confidence, great relationships, bountiful self-esteem, and oodles of cash! Eclipse aspects to Venus remind us that world will not always give us the treatment, whether kind or cruel, that we think we deserve. This awareness usually comes through financial challenges, relationship transitions, or your feelings about your attractiveness.
Eclipses aspecting Saturn: When eclipses aspect Saturn, you may feel worn out and discouraged. Probably, you’ve outgrown your life or are playing by outdated rules. But you’ll never get anywhere by blaming others for your problems. Regardless of how things got this way, what are you going to do to make your life better?
If a planet in your birth chart, or the Ascendant/Midheaven, falls:
between 7 and 15 degrees of Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, or Taurus (Jan. 31 eclipse), or
between 23 Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, or Taurus; and 1 degree of Virgo, Sagittarius, Gemini, or Pisces (Feb. 15 eclipse)
Well, I always feel like that stuff all the time anyway since I have Venus/Saturn natally, so...I continue to feel like shit like usual, no difference there, I guess.
"Sometimes it’s overwhelming to know how many choices are still your own to make, but you don’t need to be told what to do, and you don’t even need a map. There’s a compass needle swinging in your dreams. Even if you don’t know your destination yet, you know who you are, and you know which way is up. This is a week for trusting your instincts, your senses, your desires.
Most of the time you can feel the courage and the fire inside yourself, then sometimes, suddenly, a fear rises up that makes it difficult even to move. Your own insides are so tender, and the whole planet is so vulnerable and alive, and it’s hard to know how to live through this. This week is for remembering ways to keep going."
Taurus:"A solar eclipse in Aquarius arrives on February 15, activating the sector of your chart that rules worldly success, your reputation, and your professional goals. A solar eclipse is a mega new moon—new beginnings are arriving, but so are surprises, drama, and a whirlwind of change that finds you switching course in the areas of your life that need adjusting. Eclipses push us to let go of the past and to embrace change....The energy in the air at this time is truly unique—things will feel fated, destined. Have you become who you wanted to be when you were younger? What do you want to leave behind for future generations? These are crucial questions to ask during this eclipse— and critical themes to watch out for, as powerful changes will be made."
You have to bridge your own feelings of emptiness right now in an effort to get back to wholeness, So why do we do exactly the opposite from what we’re supposed to be doing?
People are funny—well not funny at all, just odd as hell. When the Sun and the south note of the Moon are in conjunction, that’s when you’re the most sensitive about where you are the weakest. People tend to act the most defensively and make all kinds of attempts to cover up insecurities or inadequacies, And wildly overcompensate and cling to notions of themselves they should be letting go of— At least temporarily.
Taurus—-just the opposite. They’re making a big deal out of the career issue in order to avoid the need for intimacy and family.
Aquarius : like animals to try to get out of a cage to prove their independence, when they really need to be domesticated right now and receive help from others.?
We hate to reveal that part of our lives are out of balance, so we create these artificial, prosthetic devices to appear completely normal and together and whole and. Especially sane, when everybody knows we are scared as hell we are kind of losing it—when the Sun isvat the south node. That’s what an eclipse is all about. It shows where we beed to restore balance and describes the area we have to let go a little bit and recognize we’re hanging onto a part of reality we no longer need.
All these oddball things are fleeting flashes of behavior to show us That despite our own regressive or infantile actions,? we all eventually have to eventually grow up and do what we’re supposed to be doing in the first place."
