So I was reading this discussion online of the latest Lance Armstrong drama and couldn't help but notice a few things:
Hmmm. I have Saturn square the moon and I always take care to well, follow the rules and be a good girl, and I've always assumed I'd get caught if I wasn't perfectly angelic. Plus well, I have Saturn in the tenth, so that's a similar "better be behaved or else" aspect.
The Sun/Pluto thing is interesting as well.
So, who wanted to live in the late 60's? Woo free love, right?
How's about the Great Depression? Not that one, eh?
"Let that sink in: In making sense of where we collectively are right now, our two closest reference points are The Sixties and The Great Depression. And this astrological energy is only reaching its first of seven exact Uranus-Pluto squares, lasting through 2015… and remaining within orb-of-influence through 2017. When the next history books are written, much of this current decade will ultimately prove to reflect a similar such dramatic turning-point."
"As I've said before, under this type of disruptive epoch-defining astrology, there is simply no going backward to the imagined idyll of our past. In fact, even hoping to tread in place, putting in just enough to barely keep your head above water, is not enough of a response. We must think revolution, if we not only want to save ourselves but thrive as never before… while, at the same time, finally addressing those gnawing problems we haven't adequately handled in the past. Then, we must act it, bravely but compassionately, knowingly embracing the chaotic bumps that are an inescapable side-effect of creative progress."
Wonder why...
you can be so fired up one day about a person, place or thing
and feel so blah and uncertaiin and anxious and worried the next?
Not even one DAY to the next.
One minute to hte next.
You can be all inspired and jazzed and enthusiastic and optimistic
about a project or a relationship.
And then you think it's all a bunch of baloney.
It erodes your self-confidence as well.
You can be all hopped up and energetic, in a hurry to put it out there, but then..but then..
you just don't give a flying crap about it.
Well, you do, but the obstacles are too great.
The effort is impossible to maintain. One second you want it NOW the next second you think its not worth the wait then you tell yourself be calm be cool everything takes time
then agian you say its not worth it and back and forth ten times.
It's cosmic.
That is exactly the vibration going on: a contest between microwaving a slice of pizza
and slow roasting a potato.
This conflict that will NOT go away immediately.
Uranus in Aries is hot because Aries is hot.
It needs immediate attention.
It craves action NOW, not tomorrow or even five mintues from now.
It wants what it wants when it wants it. It's tired of waiting around for results.
God helps those who help themselves type thing.
It's NOW goddammit, Now!
it's Lady Ga-ga at her most outrageous.
Its Russell Crowe throwing a phone at a wall.
It's a molotov cockatil party.
it's everything you do when you are y fed up with being manipulate and pushed around.
PLUTO IN CAPRICORN, however, is cold because Capricorn is cold.
It waits
It watches.
It reacts slowly and deliberately.
It doens't fly off the handle or come in its pants.
It is the calculation of the possibility of results before moving forward.
It understands the consequences of every act and therefore it protects its king with its pawns..
Not the swiftest player on the team but the one with the endurance.
It grows slowly like a Sequoia tree,
like moss,
like mold in your bathroom, and just as hard to cut down and get rid of.
It can always be counted on for its wisdom,
because it has the benefit of allowing experience to teach it before jumpiing into anything.
Or anyone.
The two forces are operating in the heavens. In world politics. And in your head.
That's why you're hot one day and cold the next.
It's cosmic menopause.

"But i got an email recently from a woman having Pluto on her Venus and she wanted to know how to stay sane during this astro-passage. Honestly, i’m not sure you can.
Pluto-Venus is intense, once upon a lifetime, fateful, compulsive-feeling and highly sexed romantic astro-weirding.
Okay so you can stay sane – but you won’t stay the same. Not even if you want to."

"Why is it so difficult for some people to change? They remain stuck in the same negative relationships/habits/jobs for decades. It’s clear as day to others that they need to evolve. But they don’t.
I did a very quick survey of the natal charts I have on file. Specifically, I looked for commonalities in the charts of people I’ve known for years who have remained stuck. What I found was that all these people have planets in their 12th House."
And suddenly that explains everything...
"The 12th (naturally ruled by Pisces) is the most difficult part of the chart to access. It represents the subconscious, the hidden, the secret. Having planets in this house is similar to glimpsing something out of the corner of your eye. When you turn to look at it, it vanishes. So any behavior symbolized by these planets will be just as difficult to pin down."
And of course, this is my chart ruler in there.
"Basically, the 12th House is a blind spot. How do you deal with it? If 12th House planets are making aspects to any other part of the chart, this is the access route. For example, Sun in the 12th trine Moon in the 4th can find clarity through emotional (Moon) connections to the past (4th House). Talk to your Mom. Revisit childhood friends/events. Will it be painful? Guaranteed. Awareness of the 12th means sacrificing something, even if it’s your illusions. Also, look at the ruler of the 12th. Aries on the cusp of the 12th House would make Mars the ruler. What’s happening with this planet in the chart? Action, independence and instinct (Mars ruled areas) would be the keys to unlocking the mystery."
Hm....so, my big one for that would be Mercury in the 6th (opposite Pluto), or maybe Uranus (1st) or Neptune (2nd). Chart ruler is Venus in 7th.... So thinking about the day-to-day practical shit in life would cover the Mercury bit. And yeah, that's what I'm running into now. Realizing that I have to postpone the move because at the very least, my driving alone is probably not up to handling 4 hours a day on the freeway or whatever at this point.
As for the 7th house, yeah, partnering helps the situation, when I can find one.
I do worry about what will happen to me if I don't move on my own, though :( I've got one planet in the zap zone (Jupiter) and two planets (Mars and moon) in the "positive Uranus zap zone."
"Because by midnight Wednesday, you will have had a bolt of brilliant psych-realization. Depth psych. Like an insight that has you oh-my-godding mid-stride as you walk up the street to buy bog paper or something.
Think, deep, motivational and empowering.
If you don’t get it, you’re either not so tuned into the Pluto-vibe (that could have its advantages, for sure) or you’re busy getting off on some strange Neptune High."

(I'm going to get in trouble eventually for posting this one, but what the hell.)
If you want to look at the effects of Saturn in Libra, you should perhaps check out the chart of someone with a lot of it. For example, John Mayer, a dude known for his mouth in uh...more ways than one. He basically pissed off the entire Internet in various ways through 2009-10-ish or so. And then... well, I give the dude a lot of credit for (a) realizing he made an ass of himself, (b) apologizing, a lot, and then (c) shutting his stupid mouth--so to speak. Dude has pretty much disappeared for the most part since his last concert tour ended, quitting Twitter, rarely blogging on his actual writing blog, deleting posts after he makes them--though in the age of Tumblr reblogging, I kind of don't see the point of that bit when it lives on anyway. At any rate, he isn't giving anyone any fuel to put on the fire these days. He's been just quietly working on an album, and adding on to Tony Bennett's. To which I say, good for him. Lord knows I miss his online snark (frankly, he and YourAuntDiane are the only Twitter accounts I ever found consistently funny, and that's speaking as a Twitter-hater), but I think given the massive shitstorm that went on, he needed to go into seclusion to get people to calm the hell down. Probably a good idea to go sort out his shit, too.
Do you guys realize how rare it is for someone to make a major fuckup and then do their best to correct their behavior? Look at Chris Brown, for example, who really isn't doing that at all. Speaking of, I have been reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies today. Yes, that sounds like it's wandering off topic, but it reminded me of a thought I've always had about P&P (-Z): the reason that chicks are sooooooo obsessed with Mr. Darcy is that he's a guy who comes off as an ass, then APOLOGIZES for it, then makes amends.* For all of those girls who like the Reformed Rakes, or Bad Guys Gone Good For The Love Of A Girl, Mr. Darcy is the Regency version of that. And as all ladies will learn outside of books, finding a dude who will apologize and improve is really rare. Well, there you go: here's one in real life.
What does this have to do with astrology? Well, the dude has a lot of planets in Libra from about 15 degrees (Pluto/NN, Sun, Mercury) on, and if Saturn is going along conjunct all of those in turn, giving them all a kick... well, let's just say that astrologically in general, Libras are not having a fun time right now. My Libra rising friends are all having relationship drama in one way or another and that's fun times. It's probably better to be single right now than be dealing with someone else's lack of maturity.
Saturn transiting through anywhere where you're emphasized is a big kick in the pants to grow up, and I think John is doing that. Saturn transits may make you more noticed or make you want to hide, so he's gone from one extreme to the other. Ironically (and well, the reason why I'm posting this) is that he posted online today that he's got a granuloma and thus has to not do any singing engagements and postpone the album production. So at this point the silence is being chosen for him... and checking the astrology, that's just as Saturn is hitting the Pluto/NN conjunction. Hmmmm, might be a while before the album is finished there. Saturn goes out of Libra in late October 2012**, so maybe late summer/fall then? I will hope for sooner, but given where Mercury is, it might take awhile.
I don't know what his birth time is, but this makes me wonder if Libra is his third house or something. Would make sense at this point, wouldn't it?
* SPOILER: In P&P&Z, he actually uh... permanently paralyzes Wickham in a massive beating. Okay, so that's not the usual type of amends....
** Then Saturn starts kicking my ascendant... and this should start right after I plan on moving. Fun times, y'all.

Mars, Uranus, Pluto should be completely nuts today.
Meanwhile, the craziest my day is likely to get is trying to fix my stained glass tower window picture thingie.
