In the sequel to Full Speed, Jamie Swift has started a new personals ad service in the town paper. Much to her dismay, some murders start up that seem to be related to her personal ads. In other crazy news around town, a former librarian's opened a lingerie store, the baker's selling aphrodesiac brownies, and the temperature is HOT HOT HOT! around town. Oh, and a psychic named Destiny Moultrie has moved to town and wants to write an advice column. She comes with her own ghost and visions of things related to the murders. Meanwhile, Jamie's on-again-off-again relationship with town millionaire Max Holt is back on again, and he's getting to be much less commitment-phobic about it.
I actually liked how the murderer worked out and who it turned out to be. Pretty clever, I suppose.
This one is casually fun to read, I guess. I'd like to hear more about Destiny- she's an interesting girl. When does she get a book?
Though much as I hate to say it, Muffin starts ah, acting in an irritating manner again that drove me batshit in Full Tilt. It's freaking ridiculous, honestly.
Three stars from me.
