Previous book here. However, the review's gonna have to go below the spoiler cut for serious spoilage. But it's really good. 4 1/2 stars, folks!

Holy cow, this is kind of a "growing the beard" book. Dang. I was oddly reminded of the later Harry Potter books in this one.
It starts out with a bang--Cammie's favorite Covert Ops professor (and family friend) Joe Solomon is revealed as a double agent for the Circle of Cavan, the bad guys who are trying to abduct Cammie for reasons unknown even to spies. He risks his life and flies to London to give her one last message--"follow the pigeons"-- before taking a dive off a bridge. After that, Cammie gets interrogated (ditto well, everyone), hidden in safe houses, shipped back to school in a very creative way, and the entire place is on MAJOR LOCKDOWN.
There's also a new Defense Against The Dark Arts professor Covert Ops teacher, the creepy M16 guy who interrogated Cammie back in London. Mr. Townsend is definitely NOT interested in teaching so much as he is interrogating the students about Solomon. Also, he can't get into the secret sublevel classrooms because well, they're rigged to blow.
After Cammie figures out the pigeon thing, she finds out that the one sending the message is her mysterious spyboy crush Zach, who seems to be mixed up in this whole thing somehow. And things get very... intense. The ending is pretty rocking. And there's gonna be big demand for book 5.
Definitely blew my mind. I never imagined this series would go this deep, somehow, and I think that's nifty.
Sounds like a great book. Will have to add to my collection. Since I started using speed reading I'm able to get through a book so much faster.
