Calendar girl
I liked the idea of the resolution collage calendar, so I have been working on that. I've decided to assign a theme to each month, and so far am only planning 3 months in advance. So, more to come.
I am using this weird free calendar that advertises cars that came with my copy of Rolling Stone. I started covering up the ads on the bottom pages...and in the end, I actually like what I've done on the bottoms better than the tops.
January's theme is "Deciding What Your New Year's Resolutions Are," as I've decided that I agree with this fellow who thinks it's better to think on it and make your resolutions on Groundhog Day. So the resolution is to...figure out some resolutions. (I'm still working on this...)
The little thought bubbles on this one (which you probably can't read) are taken from the first two pages of Indefensible Positions, as the theme of those two pages really worked with what I was doing.
February's theme is...well, I'm not quite up to posting resolutions for it yet, but I will be pretty involved with paganish things, and I plan on working on editing a Persephone-themed story of mine. So I went with the themes of Persephone, Imbolc/Groundhog Day (which you'll recall is my resolutions deadline), and the upcoming lunar eclipse, 'cause those are cool.
March is a lot less colorful because finding writing-related pictures was very color-less. I already know THAT theme/goal for the month, which will be National Novel Editing Month.
More to come...
