CHRISTMAS HELL IS STILL NOT OVER.
Er...Yule hell. Whatever. Same difference.
Anyhoo, a group I am in (which as you may have guessed, is of the hippie persuasion) is throwing the Yule party very damn late, i.e. next Wednesday. I am somewhat happy about the timing now because due to glaze screwups, I have had to redo all those damn pendants and since I finished my own glazing, there MIGHT be hope of them being put into the kiln by next Wednesday. (Sadly, this is not under my control, kiln firing takes most of a week, I don't know if/when anything will be put in to be glazed...but I have better odds of them getting in before Wednesday than I did before the weekend. I did ask to get them in today, so we'll see.)
Either way, I will probably bring most of this stuff because the pendants most likely still won't be done, and say, "Hey, pick out what you like."
I would like to point out when I made the pendants the first time I made something like 15-16 of them. Now, there's something like thirteen people associated with the group at this point, but 3-4 of them or so have pretty much disappeared for several seasons now. I debated making Enough For Everyone a second time, but I was running low on time in the first place when I had to redo all that clay and thought, "Eh, those people probably won't show up for the party anyway."
Hah hah hah hah, NO, EVERYONE IS NOW COMING. EVERYONE. EVERYONE. I don't have enough pendants any more, period. I don't think I have enough non-pendant ceramic stuff exactly either. And ceramics are NOT something you can do with any kind of speed.
GodDAMMIT I HATE GIFT GIVING.
