She's got rheumatoid arthritis. He's got Goucher syndrome. Two kids in love! Who actually relate to the shit the other one is going through!...I mean, simple plot there, but this book is really sweet?
Isabel has sworn off dating, though it's not so much about her illness so much as her mother left the family and she's convinced that all the women in her family are arseholes. She writes a column (of sorts) about interviewing people. She meets and hits it off with Sasha, who is perfect. Sweet, charming, adorable, perfect, the kind of guy some of us will never meet our entire lives. So slipping into dating feels easy, but Isabel's own emotional drama throws a wrench into things for awhile. You want to be all, girl, guys like this are rare, do not turn this one aside! And it all works out.
Four stars, highly recommend for a love story.
