"My 6-year-old daughter "loves" Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus. At first I was relieved that there was an actual celebrity that she could look up to -- Miley seemed "normal." This made me realize that no celebrity is "normal." (From a Washington Post chat.)

Dear Parents of Tweens:
Stop thinking your daughters ought to look up to STRANGERS, EVEN IF THEY ARE PRETTY TEENS WHO HAVE TELEVISION AND RECORD CONTRACTS.
Sincerely,
Pam
P.S. Also, chances are, your kid isn't obsessed by anything Hannah Montana does or doesn't do off-camera. Kids have actual lives.
