It's a bit iffy. You can't see the sides I did, but they're not nearly as smooth as the ones the creator made. I followed the instructions as best as I could possibly read them, but there's some interesting patterning/looping where the decreases are. But really, who cares, right? I also er, ended up doing the seam sideways instead of vertically, but that worked out (see below) in the end.
I do need to find some way of getting my own hair out of the equation when wearing it, because my own is thick and uh, obviously hard to hide here.
Anyway, I've been working on this while doing my volunteering shifts, and my manager said, "You should totally have horns on it! And I agreed with him, and my er, sideways seam helped that idea right along. So I dug up the center's copy of Stitch n' Bitch and found the pattern for the devil hats, made some horns, and sewed them on. And there you go.
I'm saving the wig for picture-taking at the center next week. We're supposed to look geeky...right?
And happily, my ribbon yarn JUST arrived the day I finished it, so I can move immediately on! Yay!
Yay! It turned out really well, I like it!
