It's auction season!

And I have some stuff up.

Some fusing, some frit

There's my finished glass line piece on the left. I'm proud of that.

On the right is my finished piece from the first day of frit painting. (I'm "flip and fire"ing the other one, that and the other two should be done tomorrow night.) I was trying to create the look of a picture postcard of a sunset behind the black silhouette of an island.

The interesting bit is that the screeching orange bits are transparent, so that looks especially interesting when you hold it up to the light. (Photographing that, however, did not work so well.)

Two more beaded pieces up.

Auction starts in a few hours. Yay!

Plates and fixing pieces.

I really love how the clear-with-blue-lines plate-to-be came out. Freaking awesome.

The checkerboard is now plate-shaped and cute.

And I managed to fix the fusing on the green triangle pendant very nicely. Hooray!

This pendant (the "flipping the bird one" fix didn't come out great. The back fused nicely, but...er, evidently they thought that was the front. So the bird-flipped bit is flat and the "back" is curved.

And the part where I tried to clear out the fused hole obviously looks kinda funny.

I dunno about this one.

I did some more necklaces with the glass pendants.

And there you go.

I have now completed two of these.

Another plate and some more pendants.

My second plate with the criss-crosses looks lovely. Next, I'll have to grind the edges a bit and put it in for slumping into shape.

I found this red and blue stripe in the glass stash and had to turn it into something. Surprisingly, it doesn't look all that bad.

As for the red one, I am sickly pleased that the carved bits I found (and er, ended up breaking before fusing) look like a nice bird being flipped. Alas, the hole for the pendant did NOT go all the way through for some reason, so I'm going to have to figure out some way to fix it. I might just slap a piece of clear on the bottom and refuse it again.

I found some hot pink glass and tried to use it in the last two, going with a heart theme.

I haven't knitted a hat before...

I am trying to make the Jayne Cobb Cunning Hat (someone at 3WA is looking for them), only adjusting the pattern for worsted weight wool because I sure as hell can't find any thick wool in screeching orange anywhere.

So far the top points/bulges in a little more than I think it's supposed to, but I don't really know how to fix that (maybe it's a yarn thing) and at any rate, there's supposed to be a pompom on it anyway.

I also just realized when digging up the pattern for this entry that I did the point on the earflap wrong. Ergh. Will have to go back and fix or something.

But all things considered, it's not that bad.

Some more beaded stuff.

I just put some necklaces together. I took apart a green necklace that matched this glass piece on the right perfectly- all it needed was a pendant, and now I had one. It's getting compliments.

I used a bunch of natural and fake pearls for the rose necklace- it's quite pretty. The yellow one, well, I made a big bead into a pendant and combined some stuff together.

Sure, it looks good, but...

it took like 5 or 6 runs with the squeegee to get it to do that. And the lettering still comes across kind of funny.

I am outright afraid to start messing with fabric, which is not as forgiving as paper and costs more.

One of the CC volunteers offered to watch me do it and see what I was doing wrong, but...she's been gone this week. Grr.

I think this project has stalled.
