Superhero

So, I found out the volunteer party theme this quarter is SUPERHEROES!!!!! So. Excited.

I gotta come up with an outfit. But what? I mean, I loves me some Buffy, but the characters on that show don't have a distinctive costume style. Dress as Buffy and you're wandering around with a large knitting needle to stake people with and dressing in a stylish manner, or wearing something vaguely RenFaire-ish to go as Willow or Tara when they dress up. It isn't exactly anime cosplay. Actually, I wouldn't mind going as Yomiko Readman, but nobody would know who I was. And the CC folk probably don't read Breakup Girl to recognize the outfit either.

I've tried on the crap Spandexy costumes at Halloween, but...no.

Maybe I should make up my own superhero? Like what, Craft Girl? With a utility belt? Oh, wait....

In other news, I am NOT selling at Whole Earth this year. I feel sad and weird about it. But I didn't make anything new all year that I wanted to sell (mostly I have been making yarn-related items, or gifts, or sculpture, so nothing sellable), and nothing I did new last year sold At All, and what's left after that is stuff I've been recycling for the last 3 years. And I realized that...selling is depressing. Even if I make money, I feel utterly worn out sitting there all day watching people ignore my stuff, and my feelings get annoyingly butthurt. So I am taking a year off (well, let's hope it's just a year) to see if I feel better next year after not doing it. We shall see in a year, I guess.
