One mo
nth into doing this skirt for the whateverth different time, and ... at 13.5 inches long, I took it all out to the first inch.
Why, you ask? Well, of course I screwed something up again. Lots of somethings. I started looking at the decrease purl panels and realized that uh...none of them were at the same number of stitches. Crap. I'd also managed to drop a stitch or two or three on the panels that weren't supposed to drop stitches either. This is a problem I have almost all the time when crocheting (I don't know how I keep losing stitches when I do that, but I totally do), but had no idea I'd end up doing with KNITTING too. Okay, so probably people wouldn't notice it so much, but it'd be an issue when I get to the waistline and it's noticeable.
Dammit.
So now here I am, having torn out 12.5 inches (a month's work!) and am starting over again. And this time I am writing down EVERY number of stitches the decrease panels are supposed to have for every section and every row. I think I'll have to make a spreadsheet and literally check them off every fucking time. And count every stitch in every fucking section, every fucking time.
*sigh* I don't even care any more when I restart this thing. That's a good sign, right?
