Last minute project for the year

My mom very briefly took an interest in buying loop yarn last night, bought two skeins, and then when I offered to show her how to make something five minutes later, had already lost interest. So I said, "fine, I'm keeping one of these and making something for myself."

So there's a cowl, probably made that within an hour at the longest. That is a very good basic project to make with anyone. If you can get their interest, anyway.
