I got this Lion Brand Dream Maker yarn whoppingly on sale, 4 for $10. I loved this colorway and bought it, even though I had no idea what this was or what to do with it, and as far as I can tell from scouring the Internet, nobody else does yet either.
It turns out to be chunky ribbon yarn, which is lovely to feel, like an elegant little rope. It's probably the nicest ribbon yarn I've ever seen/worked with. In my early knitting days I was obsessed with ribbon yarn, so it's kinda like going back to that. It's like working with a large, smooth cord. Soothing, yet sturdy when knit together.
So what to do with it? Make a vest. That seems to have worked.
I made this thinking I have a lot of those colors in my wardrobe. Then I tried to find something in my old wardrobe from the beforetimes and it feels like another era now that all I do is live in warm layers of sweats.I wouldn't normally wear this with that, but who care any more.
Life in quarantine, y'all.
